Statement of Beliefs
BIBLE
We believe that:
* The Bible is the only inspired and authoritative written Word of God.
* The Bible is our infallible standard for faith and practice.
GOD
We believe that:
* There is one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is
Creator, Redeemer, Healer, Deliverer, King of kings and Lord of lords. He is the Author of truth,
life, love and faith.
SIN
We believe that:
* Man was created in the image of God and was
given freedom of choice.
* Through rebellion and disobedience, mankind
was separated from God, and without God, he
is without hope and under the righteous
judgment of God.
JESUS
We believe that:
* Jesus Christ is the Messiah and His shed blood
the only remedy for man's sin and the only
way of salvation.
* Jesus is the incarnate Son of God Who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, filled with the
Holy Spirit and power, crucified for man's transgressions, raised from the dead on the third day, and
ascended back to the Father where He is now seated and ready to return for an overcoming and
glorious church.
SALVATION
We believe that:
* Man's salvation and reconciliation with God is
experienced through renouncing and turning
from his sin and seeking the forgiveness of God through Christ.
* The shed blood of Jesus, the spotless Lamb of
God, is the only means of cleansing from sin
and redemption.
* Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be
saved as he confesses with his mouth that
Jesus is Lord and believes in his heart that God
raised Him from the dead.
* This salvation of man is wholly a work of God's
grace and is not the result of human works or
goodness or religious ceremony. God provides
His righteousness to those who put their faith
in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.
* At salvation, the believer's spirit is reborn by
the presence of the Spirit of God residing in his spirit.
* This covenant of salvation that Jesus purchased
for us provides every believer with life for eternity with the Father and abundant life now. Our
covenant blessings in this life include health, healing, deliverance, safety, rescue, protection,
success and prosperity.
* A first step of faithful obedience to Jesus Christ
is baptism in water, which is symbolic of the
believer's death, burial, and resurrection in Christ Jesus.
HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that:
* The Holy Spirit is the third and co-equal partner of the Godhead.
* All those who commit themselves to Jesus Christ receive the Holy Spirit at conversion for
guidance, inspiration, and conviction.
* There is a baptism of the Holy Spirit that is a separate experience to that of the new birth.
This experience is for the purpose of empowering the believer for greater witness, love, and service
of God, and is available to each saint who will ask and believe. With the baptism in the Holy Spirit
comes the ability to pray, worship, and intercede in an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives utterance.
* The gifts of the Holy Spirit, as enumerated in I Corinthians 12-14 and manifested in the Early
Church, are in operation in the Church today for the edification, comfort and encouragement of the
body.
* The fruit of the Holy Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control, also become evident in the believer's life as he grows in Christ.
CHURCH
We believe that:
* Jesus Christ established the Church as His Body on earth.
* The Church is both the universal body of Christ, consisting of all who confess and live under
Jesus' lordship, and the local Church of believers.
